India vs Australia 2019: 4th ODI – Watch – Jasprit Bumrah-Kuldeep Yadav Give India Much-Needed Breakthrough
The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is an all-round bowler who can be utilised at any time. He can be equally useful with the new ball, in the death overs or as a big partnership breaker. During the Mohali ODI, he once again proved himself after picking a much-needed wicket of Usman Khawaja. However, Kuldeep Yadav also played a crucial role in that wicket by taking a brilliant catch.
Chasing down the whopping 359 runs target in Mohali ODI, Australia lost their early two wickets on just 12 runs. From that moment, the visiting opener Usman Khawaja and the no.4 batsman Peter Handscomb handled the situation very well. Both performed impressive battings against the host bowling side.
After completing their half-centuries, both the batsmen stretched the partnership dominantly. They had the giant 192-run partnership for the third wicket which helped Australia to make a super fightback in this game. Both the batsmen were very close to complete their centuries when Usman Khawaja lost his wicket.
During the second drinks break of that innings, Australia was fighting on 204/2 in 33 overs. Usman Khawaja was batting on 91 runs while Peter Handscomb was just one run away from his century.
However, on the very first ball of the next over, Usman Khawaja lost his wicket on 91 runs off 99 balls. Just after completing the drinks break, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a short ball to the Aussie opener. In reply, Usman Khawaja played a shot without any control, and the top edge travelled to the fine leg where Kuldeep Yadav grabbed a brilliant catch after running towards the ball. It was the much-needed wicket for the host side in this game.
India scored 358/9 in the first innings
