With another dominant performance in Bengaluru T20I, Australia won the T20I series against the host side India. After winning this series, Australian captain Aaron Finch is feeling very special.
On last Sunday (24 February), Australia won the first T20I of the two-match series with a thrilling last-ball finish at Visakhapatnam. They repeated the result once again on Wednesday (27 February) in the second and final T20I of the series at Bengaluru. This time the visiting side dominantly chased the 191-run target, thanks to Glenn Maxwell’s century.
However, Australia had a poor start in their chasing period. They were battling on 22/2 as they lost Marcus Stoinis (7) and Aaron Finch (8) at very early. However, D’Arcy Short and Glenn Maxwell rescued the team with a 73-run partnership for the third wicket.
After the opener, D’Arcy Short lost his wicket on 40 runs, Glenn Maxwell led the side to the victory. In the crucial second half of that chasing, Glenn Maxwell and Peter Handscomb provided the unbroken fourth-wicket partnership of 99 runs to secure a win.
Peter Handscomb played the supporting role with the unbeaten 20 runs innings. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell guided Australia to the victory with his unbeaten 113-run knock off 55 balls. In that impressive innings, Glenn Maxwell hit seven boundaries and nine over-boundaries.
Aaron Finch praised Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa

After winning the series by 2-0 against India, Australian limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch feels very special. Apart from praising the Player of the Match and Series award winners Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch also lauded on Adam Zampa.
During the first innings of the match, the leg-spinner had the impressive bowling figures of 4-0-23-0.

Aaron Finch said in post-match presentation, “Anytime you can win any kind of series against India in India is special. Outstanding innings from Maxy, and I must mention Adam Zampa as well, to bowl as he did on this wicket, end up with none for 20 (23) off his four overs.”
Aaron Finch spoke about the great thing in the recent hard time

Australia faced a hard time in around last 12-months, since the ball-tampering incident during the Cape Town Test. Talking about that painful moment, the Aussie captain also pointed out their great thing in that situation.
He added, “We’ve been on a journey for the last 10-11 months building towards the World Cup, and there has been a bit of pain as well. The great thing is we’ve kept improving through that period.”
Now, Australia will play a five-match ODI series against the host India from 2 March to 13 March.
