Batting at an unusual position of opening the innings, by his own standards, Kohli had a poor series. 52 runs in three games will hardly please Kohli himself, for whom run making seems to be a hobby. However, one needs to consider that he selflessly volunteered to open the innings just to add balance to the line-up as Rohit Sharma was absent. Captaincy wise though, Kohli was spot on and left very little to ponder about.
