In the last few years, Mayank Agarwal performed well in domestic cricket. The opener performed impressively in his first two Tests and that too on the Australian soil. However, he struggled on the recent Caribbean soil as he scored 5, 16, 55 and 4 runs in the Test series. But the team management is likely to continue him in the upcoming home Test series against South Africa.
KL Rahul
For a long time, KL Rahul is struggling in international cricket, especially in the Test format. During the last Caribbean tour, Rahul scored 44, 38, 13 and 6 runs respectively in the Test series. Though he performed well in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, he has failed to carry it in the Test series. His place is not safe anymore, but the team management can give a final chance in the forthcoming home Test series against South Africa. However, he will be huge under pressure if Murali Vijay performs well in the late English County Championship 2019.
