Cheteshwar Pujara
In the last season, Cheteshwar Pujara was in dream batting form. He performed powerfully with the bat and played one of the most important roles for India during India’s historic maiden Test series victory on the Australian soil in last December-January. However, he struggled to maintain that form in the latest Caribbean tour. During that Test series, Pujara scored 2, 25, 6 and 27 runs respectively. But India has still enough faith in him.
Hanuma Vihari
Hanuma Vihari is now India’s new sensation in Test cricket. The 25-year-old cricketer has utilised his limited Test opportunities very well. During the recent Caribbean tour, Vihari finished as the leading run-scorer in the Test series. The right-handed batsman scored 289 runs in four innings (average 96.33), including one century and two half-centuries. In that Test series, he scored 32, 93, 111 and 53*. He claimed his maiden Test century in the first innings of the last Test at Jamaica. There is no doubt about his place in the upcoming home Test series.
