Team India presented a brilliant display of cricket to take a firm grip at the end of day two of the ongoing Test against Windies at Rajkot.
Meanwhile, the bowlers did an exceptional job to back the effort from the batsmen. Mohammed Shami led the attack with the new ball while the spinner came into the game soon after that. Shami removed both the openers to help India go ahead in the game.

Reeling at 7 for two, Shai Hope tried to rebuild the innings along with Shimron Hetmyer. But soon Ravichandran Ashwin came to the party to castle Hope’s timber. The fall of wickets continued, and this time it was Hetmyer courtsey a runout. Soon Jadeja made it 49 for five Sunil Ambris, who looked good to steady the innings.

Since then, Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich added 25 runs for the sixth wicket. Chase especially looked in good touch hitting few boundaries before Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Dowrich. Chase see through the day without any further damage as Windies went back a 94 for six at the end of day two.

Previous, centuries from Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja guided India to a massive total. Jadeja reached his maiden Test hundred as Kohli called his players in at the score of 649 for nine.

Kohli also looked ominous touch dominating the Windies bowlers to bring his 24th Test hundred. Rishabh Pant also played a dashing knock, however, got out eight short of his century while clearing the long on fielder.

Leading by 555 runs, India will look to wrap the first innings’ of Windies as soon as possible to make them follow on and go 1-0 up in the series.
