India-West Indies players to meet the Dalai Lama

Tibetan metaphysical leader Dalai Lama will exalt the India and West Indies cricketers ahead of the fourth One Day International (ODI) at the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium here on 17th October, 2014. Both teams now head to the scenic town in Himachal Pradesh after the cancellation of the 3rd One Day International (ODI) in Vizag owing to cyclone ‘Hudhud’. The venue will be host its second ever One Day International (ODI). It is a great honour for them that his ‘sanctity’ has confirmed his existence for the match. He usually travels around the world but this time he happens to be in the country, said Sanjay Sharma, spokesperson of HPCA. When Sanjay Sharma is asked more about his visit, he added, though His sanctity will not be around for long, he will converge the players on the field right before the start of the match and he will tie Tibetan scarves around the players’ neck. Moreover, the players of the visiting England team will not able to meet the Dalai Lama at his command post during an ODI in January 2013. It happened to be stadium’s first international game. Sharma also said referring to one of the Indian Premier League games that, his divinity last visited the stadium in 2012,” referring to one of the Indian Premier League games. Sharma also told that many celebrities are expected to attend the match. Match tickets is available both online and over the counter and the organizers are expecting the sales to pick up over the coming days. He also said that about 17000 tickets are available for general public. By yesterday, they had sold about 2000 tickets online and today they have opened the retail counter.
