The legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar was the first man to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket history. Gavaskar’s home Test batting average was 50.16 (5067 runs in 108 innings) while his away Test batting average was 52.11 (5055 runs in 106 innings). The right-handed batsman hit 16 Test centuries at home while 18 Test centuries at away.
