Nasser Hussain (England)

Former England captain Nasser Hussain was also born in India as he was born in the Indian city Madras (presently known as Chennai) on 28th March 1968. While his father was an Indian, his mother is English. In 1975, his family moved to England to provide better education to their children.
Before his international debut, Hussain featured in the 1988 Youth Cricket World Cup, where he represented for England Youth team and finished as the third most run-scorer (330 runs). Earlier, in 1987, he also played three Youth Tests for England Youth team.
In 1989, Hussain made his international debut for England, and he served for the England cricket team till 2004. He played 96 Tests and 88 ODIs where the right-handed top-order batsman scored 5764 runs (average 37.18) and 2332 runs (average 30.28) respectively. He scored 15 centuries and 49 half-centuries in the international career.
During his international career, Hussain led the England team in 101 matches (45 Tests and 56 ODIs).
