As a middle-order batsman, Hanuma Vihari has impressed in his early Test career. After playing nine Tests, Vihari has scored 552 runs (average 36.80), including an only century and four half-centuries. He is also an effective off-spinner as he has taken five wickets in the Test career.
In the 2018/19 Australia tour, Vihari played some challenging roles, including serving as an opener during the Melbourne Test. During the India tour of West Indies 2019, Hanuma Vihari finished as the leading run-scorer in the Test series as he scored 289 runs with an average of 96.33. The best point is that he has played all the 50+ Test knocks outside the Asian soil.
Vihari will miss out the IPL 2020 as he was unsold during the 2020 IPL auction. So, during the IPL 2020, he will be busy to prepare himself for the away Test series in Australia.
