Krishnamachari Srikkanth – 59th innings
The former Indian opening batsman Krishnamachari Srikkanth was also a regular member during India’s first Cricket World Cup victory in the 1983 edition. After making his international debut in November 1981, Srikkanth had zero ODI centuries before September 1986.
During the Jaipur ODI against Australia, which was Srikkanth’s 59th ODI innings, he finally ended his wait for his ODI century as the right-handed batsman scored the match-winning 102 runs. Before that knock, he scored 12 ODI half-centuries, including four nervous nineties.
While Srikkanth ended his ODI career in 1992, after playing 146 ODIs (145 innings), he hit four centuries and 27 fifties.
