Since the Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma was promoted as an opener, he has evolved as a very different batsman who doesn’t know to stop if he gets set at the crease.

Despite the batting-friendly condition in the present ODI cricket, while many other batsmen still feel very much unreachable to score the ODI double-century, Rohit is the only player to hit more than one ODI double-century as the right-handed batsman has hit it thrice.

On 13th November 2014, during the Kolkata ODI against Sri Lanka, Rohit scored 264 runs off 173 balls with the help of 33 fours and 9 sixes. It is still the only 250+ ODI knock as the second-highest individual ODI score is 237 not out by Martin Guptill (New Zealand) against West Indies at Wellington on 21st March 2015. It is surely very hard to beat the record of Rohit’s record ODI knock of 264 runs.
