IPL 2017: Faf du Plessis Leaves IPL To Join South Africa Squad 1

Faf du Plessis, the member of Rising Pune Supergiant franchise, has left the RPS camp to join the South African squad ahead of their series against England.

The news was revealed by the South African Test skipper himself as he posted a photo on social media,

With Faf du Plessis announcing his exit from the league, the other South African players will also join him as according to the report, AB de Villiers will be playing his last game of the season tomorrow for RCB and will bid adieu to RCB camp tomorrow whereas David Miller will also join ABD.

Faf du Plessis, who has been one of the key players in IPL wasn’t given enough chances this season as he played just two games where he scored eight runs in one inning. The presence of A number of responsible and hard hitting batsmen was the main reason behind him not getting enough chances.

At present, Rising Pune Supergiant sit at the second position on the points table with 16 points in the account with eight wins and four losses. Pune have two games left in the league and they will look to win both the contests so as to keep their place in the top two on the points table.

Talking of the international itinerary of South African team, the team is set to travel to England ahead of the Champions Trophy in order to assimilate to the conditions there in the country. Proteas will be playing three-match ODI series against the hosts ahead of the Champions Trophy.

Post the ICC tournament, the two sides will take on each other in three match T20I and four-match Test series.
