In reply, KXIP only managed to score 181/9 in 20 overs. SRH won this match by 26 runs.

- SRH batsmen David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan put on a brilliant 107-run partnership for the opening wicket. It was the 5th-century partnership between them and all of those for the opening wicket. In T20 history, it is the joint most no.of century partnership by a pair for the opening wicket. Sussex’s pair Chris Nash and Luke Wright have also put 5 times century partnership for the opening wicket.
- SRH batsman Shikhar Dhawan played a brilliant knock of 77 runs. It is the highest individual score by an SRH batsman against KXIP outside the Hyderabad (Deccan). The previous record was 61 by Parthiv Patel at Mohali on 11th May 2013.
- 3 batsmen scored 50+ runs during SRH innings (David Warner – 51, Shikhar Dhawan – 77 and Kane Williamson – 54*). It is the second time in IPL history when 3 batsmen hit 50+ knock in the same innings. The first such incident was between DD (Delhi Daredevils) and MI (Mumbai Indians) at Delhi on 27th April 2012 where 3 DD batsmen had played 50+ knocks in an innings (Mahela Jayawardene – 55, Virender Sehwag – 73 and Kevin Pietersen – 50*)
- SRH made 207/3 in 20 overs. It is the joint second highest total for SRH (they had also scored once 207/4 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad, Deccan on 5th April 2017). - KXIP batsman Glenn Maxwell scored a duck in this match. It was his 8th duck for KXIP which is the most no.of ducks by a batsman for KXIP. The previous record holder was Piyush Chawla with 7 ducks during his KXIP career.
- KXIP batsman Shaun Marsh played a fighting knock of 84 runs. He completed his half-century in 36 balls which is the slowest half-century by a KXIP batsman against SRH. The previous record holder was Manan Vohra who had completed his half-century in 35 balls against SRH at Hyderabad (Deccan) on 17th April 2017.
- SRH pacer Ashish Nehra bowled well in this match as his bowling figure was 4-0-36-3. Taking these 3 wickets, Nehra became the second most wicket-taker as an Indian pacer in T20 career. Adding these 3 wickets, Nehra has now picked up total 162 wickets in his T20 career as he surpassed R Vinay Kumar who has 160 T20 wickets.
