After winning the toss, RPS decided to field first. Hyderabad in the first innings made 176/3 in 20 overs.

In reply, RPS chased down the total on the final ball of the match after losing four wickets (179/4 in 20 overs). RPS won this match by six wickets with 0 balls to spare.

It is the second highest score by a wicketkeeper-batsman during a run chase against SRH. The record holder is also MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings) with unbeaten 67 runs knock at Chennai on 25th April 2013.

Also, it was Dhoni’s 5th 50+ score against SRH which is the most no.of 50+ score by a batsman against SRH. In this list, Dhoni surpassed Virat Kohli who has played 4 times 50+ knock against SRH.
