The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already crossed its midseason and the teams have started to settle in.

However, many teams have failed to get their team combinations going and have struggled in the enticing tournament. The squads of all the franchises possess quality players, however, many are yet to get some game time.

The cricketers, who are warming the bench, are eventually raring to go and prove their worth in the middle.

The combined XI of all cricketers, who have not get regular game time is also capable of beating any side of the league.

There are many star cricketers, who have set this tournament on fire earlier, but has failed to attract team management this year.

Here is a look at the bench XI of this edition of the IPL:

Murali Vijay (c):

The opener from Tamil Nadu Murali Vijay has played only one game for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) this season, however, failed to impress.

Vijay, over the years, has scored tons of runs in the league.

So far, Vijay has played 101 games scoring 2,523 runs with the highest score of 127.

Moreover, he is capable of playing the long handle and change the pace of the game.

Parthiv Patel (wk):

The wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel has tons of experience behind back playing in this league.

In the recent past, he has represented as many as six franchises in the leg. Parthiv is capable of providing blistering start upfront which sets the platform for the middle-order.

The southpaw has amassed 2,322 runs in 119 matches at an average of 21.70. He is part of the RCB squad but is yet to feature for them.

Saurabh Tiwary:

Saurabh Tiwary was a part of 2008 ICC Under-19 World Cup team led by Virat Kohli. While Kohli made an early mark in his international career, the former lagged behind.

The southpaw, although, has played 81 matches in the league, however, has failed to leave a long-lasting impression.

Tiwary is a part of the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) squad but is yet to make the cut.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann:

The stylish left-handed batter Gurkeerat Singh Mann had a superb stint for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the 2016 edition. Since then, he has struggled and played only two matches last year.

Meanwhile, this year, Delhi Daredevils (DD) roped him, however, is yet to get some game time.

Mann can rotate the strike in the middle-overs and also possesses the capability to clear the grounds. Moreover, he is a terrific fielder.

Sachin Baby:

Sachin Baby’s penchant for limited-overs cricket in domestic arena earned him a contract with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for IPL 2013. RCB picked him up in the IPL Player Auction 2016.

The southpaw has failed to create an impact in whatever limited opportunities he has got.

However, he will be raring to get some match time under his belt.

Carlos Brathwaite:

The giant Windies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite made headlines for the first time when he smashed sixes off four consecutive deliveries to help Windies clinch the ICC World T20 2016 title.

As a result, Delhi roped him for the 2016 edition and retained him in the next edition.

Moreover, Brathwaite had an average stint in this league so far and was roped by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for this edition.

However, Brathwaite has played any game so far with the team settling in early in the tournament.

Brathwaite can play the long handle and also has the capability to break partnerships with medium pace bowling.

Stuart Binny:

The all-rounder in the form of Stuart Binny has played quite a few cameos of Rajasthan Royals (RR) down the order in the past and contributed with the ball as well.

However, he has played only match this season but failed to make a mark.

The experienced campaigner has a lot of domestic experiences and has pulled off matches from extreme situations.

Binny will be raring to get some match time and prove his worth.

David Willey:

The all-rounder from England David Willey has an impressive record in the shortest format of the game.

Willey can play the long handle as well bowl with the new ball. His ability to shine with both bat and ball has set him apart.

He replaced injured Kedar Jadhav in the Super Kings camp but hasn’t got any game time. Willey will be desperate to get on the field and prove his worth.

Sandeep Lamichhane:

The 17-year old leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal has early accolades early in his international career.

Delhi Daredevils roped Lamichhane on the recommendation of their head coach Ricky Ponting.

However, he is yet to get a game but sharing the dressing room with this big guns will certainly help him grow.

Adam Milne:

The speedster from New Zealand is yet to find a foothold in this coveted league.

Previously, he represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), however, played five matches so far claiming only four wickets.

Mumbai Indians (MI) picked Milne this year, however, he hasn’t got a game so far.

Rahul Chahar:

The young spinner changed his base from Rising Pune Supergiant(s) (now defunct) to Mumbai this year.

However, he hasn’t got any game time as Mayank Markande proved his worth early in this edition of IPL.

However, Chahar is capable of containing runs in the middle-over and provide crucial breakthroughs.
