The power hitter from the Caribbean will be a huge player for Wednesday’s clash. He smashed a sensational 88 off 36 deliveries against the Chennai Super Kings earlier in the tournament.
He looked in a murderous mood and smashed as many as 11 sixes during his astonishing innings. He has scored 264 runs in 14 outings in the tournament so far. However, the strike rate is the difference which is 189.
He has also been quite impressive with the ball. Russell has taken 13 wickets in the tournament so far. However, he has been nowhere close to what he was with the ball in 2017.
However, given his all-round abilities, he might just be the trump card for Kolkata.
