IPL 2018: Faf Du Plessis’ participation in doubt for IPL

Chennai Super Kings player, Faf Du Plessis, is in doubt to participate in IPL. As per reports, he is suffering from a finger injury, which can see him missing the IPL.

Though, chances of him being fit for the tournament are likely.

Plessis suffered a finger injury during the first One-day International of the six-match series against India, in which he scored a century. He went onto miss rest of five ODIs and three T20Is later.

Plessis was declared fit and he participated in the four-Test match series against Australia. He also scored a century in the fourth Test to find form following of late blips.

South Africa won the four-match series by a margin of 3-1. There is no official update on the fitness of Plessis yet.

The South African captain du Plessis was retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL auction for an amount of INR 1.60 crore.

Other South African and Australian players will also be on the same flight to India – to participate in IPL.
