The IPL caravan finally moved to the capital of India, Delhi which hosted Daredevils’ first home game against table toppers, Kings XI Punjab. Yet again, the game treated the spectators with a thriller.
In the end, due to some quality death bowling by Andrew Tye and Ankit Singh Rajpoot, Kings XI Punjab clinched their fourth win in a row, by a margin of four runs over the struggling Delhi Daredevils.
Tye also ended up with the Purple Cap for the first time in the competition with a couple of wickets and conceding only 25 runs in his spell.

The Australian took advantage of the start provided by Ankit Singh Rajpoot, who clinched a couple of wickets up front, and conceded only 23 runs in his spell.

For his efforts with the ball, Rajpoot also received the man of the match award. Following, Rajpoot expressed his delight to come up with the goods and living by the expectations of his captain.
“I am very happy that I did well for the team. I thought if the captain gives me responsibility then I had to do well and the captain believed in me as well,” Ankit Singh Rajpoot stated during the post-match presentation.

When asked about his strategies with the new ball, Rajpoot affirmed that he planned to bowl wicket to wicket and not falter with the line and lengths.
“Wanted to bowl wicket-to-wicket. I wanted to bowl length balls and not trying too much and take pace off when possible. I tried to get Shreyas out with the final two balls of my spell, but it didn’t work,” concluded Ankit Singh Rajpoot.
