Heath Streak, the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, has indicated that Mitchell Johnson will be back in the fold, for their next tie against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The speedster picked a niggle which kept him out of the all-important game against Chennai Super Kings earlier this week.

“Mitchell Johnson missed out and was rested with a slight niggle. Hopefully, he will be back for the next game that will add a bit of strength. It was a tough performance (against CSK), we got to learn from those mistakes. We have to make sure that we come back strongly here,” he said.

He was replaced by Tom Curran, who came as a  replacement for speedster Mitchell Starc.

Since Johnson is the most experienced player in KKR, he is expected to play all the games and spearhead KKR’s pace attack.

The absence of Johnson absence of was felt in the high-scoring thriller against Chennai Super Kings.

Batting first, KKR posted a huge total of 202 on the board. However, the Dinesh Karthik led side failed to defend the target.

Vinay Kumar was the given the responsibility to defend 17 runs in the final over, but he failed to deliver as CSK won the game with a ball to spare.

The only bowler who bowled well for his side was Sunil Narine, who just gave away just 17 runs in his quota of four overs and also claimed one wicket.

Knight Riders will hope to get back on winning track against Sunrisers Hyderabad – who have won both their games so far in the ongoing eleventh edition.

Going into the game, some changes are expected in KKR’s playing XI.

Apart from the comeback of Johnson for Curran, Vinay is also expected to be dropped.

Should he be declared unfit, Sandeep would retain his place for the next game.

Sandeep bowled well in the absence of Bhuvneshwar and just gave 25 runs in his four overs for two wickets.

The match will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 14, as Heath Streak is expecting a strong return.
