Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to field first against Delhi Daredevils in the nineteenth match of the Indian Premier League at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Here is what the captains said:

Virat Kohli:

“We’re going to bowl first. There could be rain around. Understanding what we need to do in the second half would be helpful. Manan Vohra comes in for Sarfraz Khan. That’s the IPL. 3-4 teams start strong and then one team rises. That’s the beauty of the IPL. That makes it more exciting to play and watch as well.”

Gautam Gambhir:

“Would have bowled first too. It’s easier to chase in Bangalore. Toss is not in our control. Bowling is something we need to work upon. Our batting needs to click as well. Harshal comes in for Shami.”

Preview:

The upcoming game will see the bottom two teams taking on each other in order to gain the much need momentum. Not much have gone their ways so far in the tournament. As a result, they have managed to win just 1 of their four games.

The problems for both the teams are pretty much similar. Their top-order have failed to fire, their middle-order have failed to close out games and their bowling have failed to contain the opposition batsmen.

With neither of the two teams in form at the moment, the upcoming game provides either of them a good opportunity to start afresh.
