IPL 2018: Match 9, Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils – Toss Report
Here is what the captains said:
“We’ll bowl. Wicket’s not going to change. We haven’t spoken too much about the last game. Result didn’t fgo in our favour, so we don’t want to discuss and complicate things. We have two changes – Jason Roy for Colin Munro and Dan Christian for Chris Morris.”

“Good wicket, so we will come out and bat well. Post a challenging score. We got to do our basics right. Little things in the game that we have to win. We didn’t the little moments in the last two games, something we didn’t do in the past.”
Two teams with similar start to the season will lock horns in the ninth game of the eleventh edition. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will welcome Delhi Daredevils in their third game of the season. Both the teams have lost their opening games so far and are the only teams yet to open their accounts.

For Mumbai, it has been a case of so-near-yet-so-far till now. Against Chennai Super Kings, they lost a game after reducing the opposition to 118 for 8 while defending 166. Against Sunrisers Hyderabad, they last the game on the very last ball. But close games aside, one can say that the defending champions have not quite managed to come up with convincing performances so far. The home game could not have come at a better time as it will provide them an opportunity to start the season on a fresh note.
On the other hand, Delhi have looked rusty so far. Despite having Gautam Gambhir in the side, they have failed to come up with convincing performances so far. They were blown away by six wickets in their opener against Kings XI Punjab. In the following game, they failed to chase down 71 runs in 6 overs in a rain-curtailed game against Rajasthan Royals. Well, they too have a good opportunity to bring their season on track and beating the defending champions is the best to start it.
