Afghanistan all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi is impressed with his national teammate and the mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman after the latter foxed Virat Kohli during Kings XI Punjab’s (KXIP) game against hosts Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 13.

Although Punjab lost the match by four wickets, the young off-spinner has left an early impression. He claimed the important wicket of Kohli as he returned with one for 29 in his quota of four overs.

Kohli left a huge gap between his bat and pad as Mujeeb castled his stumps with a perfect ripper.

However, he started the tournament with a bang while bagging two wickets against Delhi Daredevils. He has also made the batsmen guess with a lot of variation in his arsenal.

Meanwhile, Rahman is coming on the back of an impressive performance for Afghanistan.

The rising star has impressed one and all during the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, earlier this year. His four-wicket haul in the quarterfinal against the host helped Afghanistan book a semifinal berth.

Kings XI Punjab then roped the young mystery spinner for a hefty sum of INR 4 crore. Most recently, he guided his country to the ICC World Cup which is scheduled in England next year (2019).

Meanwhile, his Afghanistan teammate Nabi took to his official Twiter handle – to express his emotions on the success of the young spinner.

The senior campaigner Nabi posted a video of the delivery which outclassed Kohli and congratulated Mujeeb.

Well done @Mujeeb_Zadran,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Nabi is the part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad, who has got a perfect start to the tournament. They have won two out of two games and is on a roll.

However, Mohammad Nabi is yet to make an appearance in the first XI. Hyderabad will play Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday evening at the iconic Eden Gardens.
