IPL 2019: 23rd Match, CSK vs KKR, Players To Watch Out

IPL 2019: 23rd Match, CSK vs KKR, Players To Watch Out; And, once again, a thrilling contest set to makes its way, as the in-form Kolkata Knight Riders set to lock horns with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. Both the teams got enough ingredients in their squads to put fans on edge of their seats.

Chennai Super Kings, who lost their game against Mumbai Indians, made a fine comeback by bagging those two points against Kings XI Punjab. Now, they will be looking to continue their winning streak in the home conditions. Most probably, they would go with the similar lineup unless any forced change.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are in a tremendous run of form in the tournament. They are making things fall in place with their brilliant display of cricketing skills. Much like CSK, they would also go with their same playing XI that fought against Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

We Figured out five crucial players, who will be the cynosure of eyes during the progress of the game:

5. Deepak Chahar:

The youngster has been the talk of the town with his stunning display of seam bowling. He has been brilliant with the new ball for Chennai Super Kings, who delivered a few unplayable deliveries in his opening spell in the powerplay overs.

The young fast bowler has got an additional burden from now on with the absence of Dwayne Bravo in the ranks for the team. His spell against the clean strikers of the ball Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine at the top would be interesting.

His death bowling skills against a player like Andre Russell will also be tested.

4. Nitish Rana:

The youngster has shown his skills with the bat for Kolkata Knight Riders. He is one of the key contributors for the team in the tournament so far. They used him as the floater in the tournament so far with no stable position for him.

However, he excelled every time when he was given a chance to bat. With Chennai Super Kings having quality bowlers, the batting heroics of Nitish Rana is pretty much important for the team.

Most Probably, MS Dhoni would operate Harbhajan Singh when Nitish Rana gets to the middle.

3. Harbhajan Singh:

What an IPL it has been so far for Harbhajan Singh? He played a couple of games at home and ended up collecting man of the match awards.

In the first game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he bagged the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali.

And, in the game against Kings Xi Punjab, he sent Chris Gayle back to the hit. It was followed by the wicket of Mayank Agarwal, which helped Chennai Super Kings to defend a moderate total on the board.

2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

Chennai lose to Mumbai, but Dhoni wins hearts

Off course, it is MS Dhoni, who takes the centre stage in the match. Much like the last year, he is coming good with the bat once again for the team.

So far, he played a couple of match-changing knocks and leading the team with his astute captaincy.

MS Dhoni managed his bowlers well in the absence of Dwayne Bravo in the last game. However, with KKR having a strong batting lineup, it would be interesting to see how he rotates his bowlers.

1. Andre Russell:

Any surprises with this name at the top? After his scintillating knocks in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League, he has become a household name in India. Even before the start of the match, the analysts are speaking about the impact of Andre Russell in the game which tells you the story.

Last time, Andre Russell displayed top-class skills against Chennai Super Kings, which was outclassed by Sam Billings knock. It was the match when MS Dhoni asked to award 12 runs if the player hits the ball out of the stadium.

With opposition already losing an experienced bowler like Dwayne Bravo, the chances for Andre Russell’s show looks high unless any magic from MS Dhoni and his spin department.
