The finishing lines appeared for the foreigners to leave the ongoing Indian Premier League 2019. The latest to leave the tournament is Australia’s Jason Behrendorff, who will be miss out the action for Mumbai Indians. The lanky fast bowler did decent enough for the team.
Jason has been recruited in the previous year but he managed to play the tournament only this year, as he was injured in IPL 2018. His stint with the franchise gone all right, as he bagged 5 wickets in the 5 matches that he played in the season. He conceded 165 runs in the tournament.
Great 1st IPL experience – Jason Behrendorff
Leaving to Australia, Jason Behrendorff tweeted saying that it has been a good stint for him in the tournament. Further, he went on to wish all the best for the team in the future games of the season without him in the dugout.
Digging into his tweet, it read ” Great 1st IPL experience with an excellent franchise! Keep playing well boys, looking forward to watching us in the final in a couple of weeks! Until next time.”

Well, Mumbai Indians wouldn’t mind his absence much though. They already got the players like Lasith Malinga and Mitchell McClenaghan to cover his absence. So far, Malinga is having a brilliant IPL, which would be a pleasing sight for the Rohit Sharma-led side.
Coming to their journey in the tournament, currently, they are placed third in the points table. They bagged seven wins in their 12 games so far losing five matches. Mumbai is just one victory away from qualifying for the playoffs.
They also got a good chance to finish in the top two. However, for that, they need to rely on the results of the Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings, who are the qualified teams so far. In the next assignment, they will host Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are also fighting hard for their place in the playoff stage.
