IPL 2019: Kagiso Rabada Gives An Update On His Stiff Back
On last Friday, Delhi Capitals suffered a massive blow as their premier fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is ruled out for the rest of the Indian Premier League 2019 season with a back injury. However, in his absence, Ishant Sharma came to the party against Rajasthan Royals to seal the game for DC.
Rabada had a huge role to play in Delhi reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2012. He was instrumental in the Power Play often stifling the batsmen and was superb in the death overs as well. With him gone, it leaves a huge hole in Delhi’s bowling arsenal.
South African speedster Kagiso Rabada has been on fire in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. Rabada has scalped 25 wickets in 12 matches but missed Delhi Capitals’ (DC) penultimate group match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to a stiff back and later, went back home without featuring in the home game at Delhi.
I am Good – Kagiso Rabada
It is understandable from the Cricket South Africa point of view as Kagiso Rabada is their best bowler in the ranks. They are already dealing with multiple niggles in their squad. Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi earlier pulled out of the IPL due to injuries while Dale Steyn as well had to leave the Royal Challengers Bangalore setup after just two games.
Meanwhile, Kagiso Rabada gives a sigh of relief to South Africa stating that he is fine with his back. He also shared his thoughts on Delhi Capitals, who advanced to the second place in the points table.
Rabada quoted that he would love to be playing for them in the playoffs. However, he understands that the nation comes first. He wants to cheer Delhi right from South Africa.
Digging into his post, it read ”“Ipl was really fun! Extremely glad for the opportunity! Sad to leave but good to be home! Bittersweet. Regarding my back, I’m good – precautionary is all. Will be supporting the boys all the way! @delhicapitals,” Kagiso Rabada gave an update of his injury.”
Coming to Delhi Capitals, in their next assignment, they will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first eliminator of the season. The match is set to be played on May 8th at Visakhapatnam.
