IPL 2019: Kedar Jadhav In Doubt For The Remainder of The Tournament

It wasn’t a piece of great news from the Chennai Super Kings camp, as their star player Kedar Jadhav injured his shoulder. The unorthodox all-rounder failed to field the ball cleanly in the game against Kings XI Punjab, which saw him walking back to the pavilion with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, he attended the doctors and took a scanning of his shoulder. Though the results are yet to be announced, it looks likely that the player would miss the remainder of the tournament. Most probably, he would be out from the tournament, as his sights are on the ICC World Cup 2019.
We need to be accurate – Stephen Fleming
The head coach Stephen Fleming revealed the news for the reporters after the conclusion of the game against Kings XI Punjab. As per his words, it seems like Kedar Jadhav would go back home.
“He’s getting an x-ray and a scan tomorrow, so we’re hopeful for him. I don’t think we’ll see him again in this tournament for us,” Fleming said. “His attention is turned to the World Cup. He’s in some discomfort but we need to be accurate with our assessment tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it is nothing too serious but it didn’t look that good,” he added.
This is not the first time for Kedar Jadhav. He career has always witnessed him having injuries over the years. Even in the previous year, he failed to feature for CSK in the remaining games, after picking up the hamstring injury in the initial matches of the tournament.
Coming to the last game against Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings were outdone by the sublime knock of KL Rahul. However, CSK were smart enough with their calculations, as they were successful in cementing one of the top two spots in the points table to play playoffs.
