Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Mohammad Nabi bowled a terrific opening spell after David Warner, and Jonny Bairstow combined to post 231 runs to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 118 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Chasing a massive target, Royal Challengers Bangalore crumbled to pressure. Mohammad Nabi who is playing his first game of the season single-handedly ran down the Bangalore batting picking three wickets within four overs. Virat Kohli demoted himself to sent Shimron Hetmyer with Parthiv Patel at the top. However, it didn’t help as Mohammad Nabi’s off-spinner looked too difficult. He dismissed Parthiv, Hetmyer and AB de Villiers before Sandeep Sharma removed skipper Virat Kohli.

Striving at 30 at four, another wicket from Nabi and a runout pushed them to 36 for six within eight overs. Since then, Colin de Grandhomme and Prayas Ray Barman added 51 runs for the seventh wicket, and in the process, the debutant Barman showcased his authority with the bat. Sandeep dismissed Barman to claim his second wicket while a few runouts rattled Bangalore’s batting for 113 runs.
Warner and Bairstow power Hyderabad to 231
Previously, Jonny Bairstow and David Warner bolstered Sunrisers Hyderabad to 231 runs for the loss of two wickets. Both Warner and Bairstow notched up their individual hundreds to post a massive target on the board. The right-hand-left-hand combination didn’t spare any bowler and took them all over the part. Meanwhile, among the two, Bairstow was the aggressor one – a rare sight in T20 cricket. Bairstow looked all pumped up hitting debutant Prayas Ray Barman for two fours and a six to bring his half-century.

With 105 runs in ten overs, they increased the scoring rate to finish at 231 runs. While Bairstow scored his first IPL hundred, Warner brought his fourth – currently placed second with Virat Kohli in the list of most centuries after Chris Gayle. Although the English cricketer got out, Warner and Shankar ensured they post 231 runs.

I Think it's high time that @imVkohli should step down as captain of @RCBTweets. I think players are are trying too hard to to match kohli level. That is making their performance worst. Let just be themselves and not force them to be they are not. #RCB #RCBvsSRH #SRHvRCB #IPL
