The 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have stepped in its second week, and we have already witnessed nail-biting encounters with one game decided by super over. One more exciting contest is on the cards when Mumbai Indians (MI) will face off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium on April 3 (Wednesday).

Both teams have won the coveted trophy three times each and will be desperate to go one ahead. In that bid, Chennai Super Kings have made a solid start winning their first three games of the tournament. On the other hand, Mumbai Indian have gone down in two of their opening three games. They need to fight back their way in the tournament and beating Chennai should give them the perfect momentum.

Mumbai have played good cricket but has lacked the finishing ability. The players need to take the onus on themselves and finish games rather than leaving it till the end. On more thing that has hurt their chances have been batsmen throwing their wicket once set. They need to carry and hold strong from one side while others can play around him. The bowling has also looked steady, and the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Maling can win games single-handedly, and the franchise will hope that to happen in the next outing.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings have looked like a well-oiled machine. No teams are yet to put pressure on MS Dhoni as bowling and batting have performed equally well. Their main aim will be to keep up the good work and make it four out of four on Wednesday’s clash.

Date and Venue: April 3 (Wednesday) at 8:00 pm, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

Weather Forecast

It will be a warm afternoon in Mumbai with the temperatures hovering around 28 degrees Celsius. However, with the humidity level close to almost 75 percent, the real feel will be around 32 degrees Celsius.

Although there will be significant cloud covers during the game time, there are no chances of any precipitation. This will certainly be a piece of exciting news for the Mumbai Indians fans who will expect a full forty overs of action.

Also, the dew point will play a crucial role in the game. The dew will become more persistent as the game progresses and it will be difficult to grip the ball for the bowlers. Team bowling first will have an early advantage as it will be easy to chase at the Wankhede.
