ii) KXIP opener Chris Gayle remained not out on 99 runs off 64 balls.

  • It was the second time in IPL history when a batsman remained not out on 99 runs. On 8th May 2013, Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings) remained not out on 99 runs (52 balls) against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad (Deccan).
  • It is the third highest individual score by a KXIP batsman against RCB.

i) By the end of this match, Virat Kohli has scored 8,175 runs in T20 career.

  • Virat Kohli is the most T20 run-scorer as an Indian batsman. During this match, he surpassed Suresh Raina who has scored 8,145 T20 runs. Currently, Virat Kohli is the sixth most run-scorer in T20 cricket history.

i) By the end of this match, AB de Villiers has scored 3,545 runs for RCB.

  • AB de Villiers is the second batsman to score 3,500+ T20 runs for RCB. Virat Kohli was the first batsman to achieve this feat as he has scored 5,642 T20 runs for this side.

 

ii) AB de Villiers has hit 200 IPL sixes.

  • AB de Villiers is the second cricketer to hit 200 or more IPL sixes. Chris Gayle (315 sixes) was the first player to achieve this feat.
