IPL 2019: Qualifier-1, Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians – Toss Report
IPL 2019: Qualifier-1, Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians – Toss Report: Yet again two big giants of the tournament set to clash each other to put fans on edge of their seats. MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will be the hosts while Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians will head into the game with a status of ”Table-Toppers”.
Chennai Super Kings lost the services of Kedar Jadhav ahead of the crucial phase of the tournament. However, they wouldn’t worry much, as they got the able-player to replace him in the ranks. The major problem for the team would be their fast bowling resources at death.
However, they are relishing the form of their spinners in the tournament, especially, in-home conditions. Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir is the force to reckon with in the tournament while Ravindra Jadeja is delivering the goods when it matters the most.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians found the perfect balance at the right time. The form of all their batsmen would be the soothing aspect while the skipper himself also came into his zone. The match-winners like Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard are also waiting to showcase their talent.
Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians – Toss Report
The skipper of CSK MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first in the first qualifier of the tournament against Rohit Sharma-led side at Cheppauk.
Here is what captains said:
Mahendra Singh Dhoni: We will bat first. We don’t think too much about the opposition, we rather would like to focus on our preparation. It would be disrespect to the others if I say that we focus only on Mumbai Indians. We have to respect every opposition. Mumbai are a balanced side. One change for us too – Vijay in for Kedar
Rohit Sharma: Yeah, we would have batted first as well. Considering the nature of the surfaces of late, that’s what we would have liked. We do have a good record here but that doesn’t matter much. Got to focus on our strengths and play good cricket tonight to come out on top. One change – Jayant Yadav in for McClenaghan
