IPL 2019: Rohit Sharma Dedicates Unbeaten Knock Against KKR to His Daughter Samaira
On Sunday (May 5), Mumbai Indians (MI) went on winning their ninth win of the tournament. This Sunday, they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at an iconic Wankhede Stadium by nine wickets. The victory in the last match of the league has boosted the morale of the team. But, what no one expected was that they ended up claiming the top spot on the IPL 2019 points table.
And meanwhile, the team went on to celebrate their win, Rohit’s gesture directed towards his daughter – Samaira. After completing his half-century, Rohit made a heartwarming gesture suggesting that the fifty was dedicated to his recently-born daughter, Samaira.
Later, IPL officials posted the video of the same on Twitter.

Also, during the post-presentation that day, Rohit mentioned that it was good to mark half-century as his daughter was present at the venue. It’s pertinent to mention that Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has often cheered for Team India’s limited-overs deputy at the stadium.
He said, “My daughter was here today so it was good to get a half-century, but unfortunately she was sleeping!”
The MI skipper has had an average season this year. With a strike rate of 129.10, he had accumulated 386 runs leading his team in 14 matches of the league. While making it to the playoffs, the skipper and his team will be eager to win in the Qualifier-1 against Chennai Super Kings.
The much-awaited game will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 7.
