Match seven of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed vintage Yuvraj Singh when he smacked three consecutive sixes off Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowler Yuzvendra Chahal. Following the game, Chahal in the press conference admitted that he felt like England pacer Stuart Broad when the veteran India cricket hit him for three over boundaries. However, this didn’t go well with the English fast bowler, and he gave it back like a pro.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians banked on Yuvraj to give some momentum and Hardik Pandya’s (32 off 14) late cameo to post 187 runs on the board. Previously, skipper Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav set the platform for the dynamic all-rounder to come and exploit. But the home side got off to a blistering start with their skipper Virat Kohli taking guard on most of the balls. AB de Villiers also joined the party, and the duo kept RCB in line for the chase. Although Kohli departed, the former South African went all guns blazing. However, some excellent death bowling from Jasprit Bumrah and an outstanding last over from Lasith Maling helped Mumbai steal the match at the last moment.
Felt like Stuart Broad: Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal while addressing the press conference said that he felt like Stuart Broad during the 14th over of the Mumbai Indians innings when Yuvraj Singh struck him for three consecutive sixes in the first three balls. Chahal, meanwhile, had the last laugh as he got out Yuvraj in the fourth ball while the veteran tried to hit another lofted shot.
“After Yuvraj hit me for three sixes, I felt like Stuard Broad. He is a legendary batsman and I knew I had to back myself. It was a smaller ground and to be hit for boundaries is fine. I knew I had to come up with my best deliveries and so I was bowling the wide googlies,” he said.

However, the comment didn’t go well with Stuart Broad, and he trolled Yuzvendra Chahal with a classic reply. Broad is a great servant of England cricket He has 437 Test wickets to his name and bringing up the statistics he took a jibe at Chahal.
“Hope he feels like me in 10 years time with 437 Test wickets,” he commented.
