Sunrisers Hyderabad has posted a gargantuan score of 212 runs. Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and decided to bowl first in the ongoing 48th match of the season. Sunrisers Hyderabad openers David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha provided a fine partnership of 78 runs for the opening stand. Saha who was promoted in the batting order was able to hit the ground running.
Meanwhile, Saha scored a fine cameo of 13-ball 28 with the help of three fours and one six. Saha and Warner added 77 runs in the powerplay overs to give a flying start to their team.

Warner was at his best.
However, Saha was soon dismissed after the powerplay overs when he tried to cut against Murugan Ashwin. The right-hander got a faint edge which was neatly taken by debutant PrabhSimran Singh.
On the other hand, Manish Pandey continued his good form going. The right-hander scored a decent knock of 25-ball 36 with the help of three fours and one six. However, Pandey innings was put paid by Kings XI Punjab skipper when he tried to paddle sweep but was caught by Mohammed Shami, at short fine leg.
Ashwin took two wickets.
Meanwhile, David Warner continued his good form going as he completed his 44th IPL fifty. In fact, the southpaw batsman scored his eighth consecutive fifty while playing against Kings XI Punjab. Warner scored a fine knock of 81 runs off just 56 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes.

This was Warner’s last match of the season as he scored 692 runs in the season. However, Ravichandran Ashwin ended Warner’s knock when he tried to go for the big shot but got a top edge which was taken by Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
Subsequently, Ravichandran Ashwin scalped two wickets in his last over of the innings to finish as Punjab’s best bowler. Ashwin conceded 30 runs in his four overs quota.

Had he stayed the full season he could have scored the 1000 runs he had set out to achieve at the start of the competition. Well played @davidwarner31 and this will mean a lot to @CandyFalzon back home. @SunRisers

What a comeback season for David Warner!
692 runs in 12 innings.A century and 8 fifties. That's an amazing consistency.
While he has got nearly 700 runs, no one else has even 500 yet!
Will someone pass his aggregate?
