Over the years, MS Dhoni has been one of the fittest cricketers in the gentleman’s game. But, of late, the veteran cricketer has struggled as his back issue has repeatedly cropped up. In the ongoing IPL 2019, Dhoni has also missed a game due to the back spam before warming the bench following his illness. However, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) went on to lose both their games in his absence. Recently, Dhoni was seen giving wicket-keeping tips to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) players; KL Rahul and Windies pick Nicholas Pooran.

Dhoni, now, 37-year-old hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down owing to his reflexes. Despite struggling in this season with a back issue, Dhoni has affected some jaw-dropping stumpings.

On Sunday (May 5), ahead of the KXIP vs CSK fixture, Dhoni has given some vital tips to Rahul and Pooran, as Punjab-based skipper Ravichandran Ashwin saw it unfolding before his eyes at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

However, CSK lost their last league game by six wickets to end up as second-best as Mumbai Indians (MI) topped the charts with a better net run-rate. Now, they will face each other in their first qualifier on May 7 at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

So far, in the IPL season 12, Dhoni leads the run charts for the CSK. The right-handed middle-order batsman has amassed 368 runs in 12 matches at the staggering average of 122.6. Behind stumps, Dhoni has affected overall 133 dismissals which are comprised of 95 catches and 38 stumps.

Solely, in this season he has affected 13 dismissals, too.
