IPL 2019: Watch – Faf du Plessis, Dhruv Shorey Complete a Fine Relay Catch

We had seen a perfect relay catch between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals when Colin Ingram had maintained his balance and had thrown the ball to Axar Patel who was 23 meters away at long-on. Similarly, we saw another similar catch when Faf du Plessis and substitute Dhruv Shorey completed a fine relay catch.
Marcus Stoinis tried to go big against Imran Tahir in the 17th over of the innings. However, the Australian all-rounder could not get the timing he was looking for. The right-hander got a top edge and Faf du Plessis positioned himself at the long-off boundary.
du Plessis took the catch and was going over the boundary with the momentum. However, Dhruv Shorey was red alert and was expecting du Plessis to relay the catch to him. Thus, both of them completed a fine catch.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have posted 161 runs after Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. Parthiv Patel scored his 13th IPL fifty, which was also his second of the season.
However, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli, who are the fulcrum of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting could not get a big score today. Kohli felt in the trap of Deepak Chahar’s fifth stump line when the ball was going away from the right-hander.
AB could not hit the ground running on his comeback as he scored 25 runs. Ravindra Jadeja bowled with fire as he scalped two wickets and conceded only 29 runs in his four overs. Chahar also took two wickets and gave away 25 runs in his allotted four overs.
On the other hand, Moeen Ali was surprisingly moved down to number six. The southpaw batsman scored 16-ball 26. Akshdeep Nath could not once again make the most of his start.
Meanwhile, CSK has also not got off to a good start as they have lost three quick wickets.
