IPL 2020 Auction: 3 Impressive West Indies Players From India T20Is Who Can Get Big Bids
The West Indies players are known to be the heart and beat of the T20 format. The Windies players have a love affair with the shortest format of the game and their performances are noteworthy in the T20 fold. The Carribean players have often shown that they have the skills to turn the match on its head and there have many vindications of the same.
There were some impressive performances from the West Indies players in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against India. The hosts were expected to be favorites but the visitors showed that they are not a pushover side in their preferred format of the game.
With the IPL auction just around the corner, it was a perfect opportunity for the Windies players to showcase their skills against India and grab a hefty cheque in the auction, which will take place in Kolkata.
On that note, we take a look at three impressive West Indies players in the India T20Is who can get huge bids:
3. Shimron Hetmyer
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s think tank must be scratching their heads that why did they decide to release Shimron Hetmyer. The left-hander scored 120 runs in the three T20I matches at an average of 40 and a blistering strike rate of 151.89. The southpaw also scored his maiden T20I fifty in the first match but his efforts went in vain as West Indies lost that game.
Meanwhile, the 22-year old played a whirlwind knock of 139 runs off just 106 in the first ODI with the help of 11 fours and seven sixes to help his team go 1-0 up in the three-match ODI series. The youngster batted at the top of his game and showed no mercy for the Indian bowlers. The runs could not have come at a better time for Hetmyer as this knock might be more than enough to start a bidding war between all the eight IPL teams.
