2. Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab) – INR 10.75 crore

The 31-year-old Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell started the bid with the base price of INR 2 crore. While Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) opened the bidding process, Delhi Capitals (DC) also showed their keen interest on Maxwell. KXIP and DC involved in a long battle, and finally, KXIP won it with the bid of INR 10.75 crore.

Glenn Maxwell already played for Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) in 2012, Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2013, KXIP in between 2014 and 2017 and once again Delhi Daredevils in 2018. He was unavailable for IPL 2019 due to the preparation for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Maxwell has played 69 IPL matches where he has scored 1,397 runs (average 22.90 and strike-rate 161.13) and taken 16 wickets. He was the Most Valuable Player in IPL 2014 when his team KXIP finished as the runners-up.
