IPL 2020: Burj Khalifa Lights Up In The Colours of Kolkata Knight Riders To Wish Them Luck

World’s tallest building Burj Khalifa lit up in the Kolkata Knight Riders colours to wish them good luck in their IPL opener against Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played in the UAE this season. The change in venue was commanded because of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in India. The matches in IPL 2020 will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
The 13th edition of IPL was originally scheduled to kick off from March 29 was postponed indefinitely after April 15 due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the nation.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai was lightened up in the purple hue of the KKR projecting its players and team motto welcoming them to Dubai and wishing them luck for their opener against MI.
“Before the fireworks tomorrow, here’s the curtain raiser! We won’t stop, on our way to the Top with upwards arrow aboveThank you @BurjKhalifa for lighting up in #KKR colours. What a welcome to the UAE tonight,” KKR took to Twitter, posting a video of the grand welcoming.

Dinesh Karthik confident for the IPL opener against MI
KKR captain Dinesh Karthik says it is good for the team that they face Mumbai Indians so early in the tournament. He also was all praises for young opener Shubhman Gill and hinted that Gill and Sunil Narine will be the opening pair for KKR.
“They have a team of world-class players; they are a strong lineup and the number of IPL titles they have won shows that. It’s good that we are playing Mumbai early in the tournament. Every year is a different year. I am sure it will be a great game tomorrow,” KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik said during a virtual press conference on Tuesday.
“Shubman is a quality player. I am sure he will exceed all expectations and it’s good to have him. Gill and Narine make a good opening combination,” he added.
MI lost their opening game of the IPL 2020 against CSK and will look to get their first win of the IPL in the match tonight against KKR. The match will be played in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
