The left-handed batsman Suresh Raina was once a very important middle-order batsman in the Indian limited-overs sides. From 2005 to 2018, Raina played 322 international matches, where he scored 7988 runs (average 32.87) and also took 62 wickets as an off-spinner. The Indian cricketer is still desperate to return to the national team.

Raina played the last recognised cricket match during the IPL 2019 final (against Mumbai Indians at Hyderabad, Deccan on 12th May 2019), where his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) failed to win that final and finished as the runners-up.

Then he underwent the knee surgery which forced him to miss out the entire domestic cricket season. The second most run-scorer in IPL history Raina (5368 runs) is now ready to serve for the CSK in the upcoming IPL edition.
