Though Mumbai Indians (MI) have won the most IPL trophies, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the only side to never finish below the top four in an IPL edition. The three-time IPL winners and eight-time IPL finalists CSK have always finished in the top four positions in all the ten IPL editions, where they have participated.

While Mumbai Indians will participate in the IPL 2020 as the defending champions, they are in the second position to finish in the top four positions in most of the IPL seasons as they have achieved it for eight times. So, at the end of the IPL 2020, the CSK will surely remain on top of the position of finishing in the top four positions in most IPL editions.
