Caribbean all-rounder Andre Russell played a huge impactful role for KKR in the last season as he won the Most Valuable Player award of that season.
Australian cricketer Chris Lynn, who played an important role in the top-order batting in the last two IPL seasons, is not with this team anymore as he was released from the KKR squad ahead of the 2020 IPL auction. Another experienced KKR cricketer Robin Uthappa was also released before the 2020 IPL auction.
KKR top-order batsmen will have to take more responsibilities in the forthcoming IPL season. Addition of England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan can be hugely helpful in their batting line-up.
While the spinners were always the strength of the KKR team, they hugely underperformed in the last season. Though the leg-spinner Piyush Chawla was released from the KKR squad ahead of the 2020 IPL auction, they still have Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav.
Moreover, the presence of Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins can be helpful in their underperformed pace-bowling line-up.
