The game quality of the Delhi franchise hugely improved in the last season. In the IPL 2019, the openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan provided the good starts while captain Shreyas Iyer and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant positively controlled the game as the next batsmen. The batting line-up will now be stronger due to the addition of Ajinkya Rahane, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, etc.

It was very surprising why Delhi Capitals released the New Zealand left-arm pacer Trent Boult and South African pace-bowling all-rounder Chris Morris, who was one of the stand-out performers in the last season.

Though the Delhi franchise still has the strong pacers like Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma, they can have a big problem to find out the other consistent pacers. Spin bowling is the strength in their bowling line-up as they have Amit Mishra, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sandeep Lamichhane and Axar Patel.
