ToggleIn 21st match of the IPL 2020, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 10 runs at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium (Abu Dhabi).
After winning the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders decided to bat first. In the first batting, KKR were all out on 167 runs in 20 overs. Then, the Kolkata side restricted Chennai Super Kings to 157/5 (20 overs).

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) innings
Chennai Super Kings openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis provided a 30-run partnership before Shivam Mavi dismissed Du Plessis for 17 runs. Watson and Ambati Rayudu controlled the next stage and set up a 50+ partnership for the second wicket.
They built up the 69 runs partnership for the second wicket. After scoring 30 runs off 27 balls, Rayudu was dismissed by Kamlesh Nagarkoti in the 13th over. In that same over, Watson completed his 50 runs off 39 balls.
But in the next over, Sunil Narine dismissed Watson for 50 runs off 40 balls (6 fours and only six). After the 28 runs partnership with Sam Curran for the fourth wicket, captain MS Dhoni (11) was bowled by Varun Chakravarthy.
On his very first ball, Andre Russell dismissed Sam Curran, who scored 17 runs off 11 balls (1 four and 1 six).
At the late of that innings, Ravindra Jadeja scored 21 not out 8 balls (3 fours and only six), including hitting 6, 4 and 4 in the last three balls of the match. But it was too late for CSK.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) innings
Kolkata Knight Riders changed their opening batting combination as Shubman Gill now came to bat with Rahul Tripathi. The KKR openers provided a positive start, but Gill (11) lost his wicket after the 37 runs partnership for the first wicket as Shardul Thakur took that wicket.
Then Tripathi and Nitish Rana built up the 33 runs partnership for the second wicket but Karn Sharma ended that partnership after dismissing Rana for just 9 runs.
Then Sunil Narine came to bat at the no.4 position but after the 28 runs partnership with Tripathi for the third wicket, Narine lost his wicket on 17 runs off 9 balls (only four and only six) in Karn Sharma’s over. Since then, Kolkata Knight Riders lost their wickets at regular intervals.
During the third wicket partnership, Tripathi reached his fifty runs mark in 31 balls. After Eoin Morgan (7) and Andre Russell (2) were dismissed cheaply, Dwayne Bravo dismissed the KKR opener Tripathi for 81 runs off 51 balls (8 fours and 3 sixes).
In the final over of that innings, Bravo added two more wickets in his account and became the most T20 wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings.
