In the 26th match of the IPL 2020, Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 5 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai).

SunRisers Hyderabad captain David Warner decided to bat first after winning the toss. SRH managed to score 158/4 (20 overs) at the end of the first innings. In reply, Rajasthan Royals chased down that target in 19.5 overs after losing five wickets (163/5).

Rajasthan Royals (RR) innings

Rajasthan Royals didn’t get a strong start as their top three batsmen were dismissed during the mandatory powerplay, where they scored 36/3. Openers Ben Stokes (5) and Jos Buttler (16) and skipper Steven Smith (5) lost their wickets inside the powerplay.

Sanju Samson (26) and Robin Uthappa (18) tried to control the innings, but Rashid Khan dismissed both of them in the crucial moment.

While Rajasthan Royals were struggling on 78/5, Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia not only rescued the team, but they also guided the side to the crucial victory. For the unbroken fifth wicket, Parag and Tewatia put the 85 runs partnership.

Parag secured the victory for Rajasthan Royals with a sixer on the fifth ball of the final over. While Parag scored 42 runs not out off 26 balls (2 fours and 2 sixes), Tewatia scored 45 not out off 28 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes).

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) innings

Opener Jonny Bairstow lost his wicket in the fifth over after scoring 16 runs. But then the skipper and another opener David Warner set up the crucial 73 runs solid partnership with Manish Pandey for the second wicket.

Jofra Archer continued his success against Warner in this year as he bowled the SRH captain in the 15th over while Warner was two runs away from another T20 half-century. The left-handed batsman scored 48 runs off 38 balls (3 fours and 2 sixes).

Then Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson built up the 26 runs partnership for the third wicket. Pandey completed his half-century in 40 balls. But Jaydev Unadkat dismissed Pandey in the 18th over for 54 runs off 44 balls (2 fours and 3 sixes).

Williamson remained not out on 22 runs off 12 balls (2 sixes). Meanwhile, Priyam Garg was run out on the final ball after scoring 15 runs off 8 balls.
