In the third game of the IPL 2020, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have started their journey in the 13th edition of the IPL as they are facing each other at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai).

The IPL 2016 winners SunRisers Hyderabad finished as the fourth-best team in the last IPL season (IPL 2019) as they lost the Eliminator of that tournament against Delhi Capitals (DC). For this season, while they have chosen the two-time IPL winning Head Coach Trevor Bayliss, under whom England won their first ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy in 2019 edition, SRH also brought back David Warner in the leadership role.

Australian cricketer Warner, who last time led SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2017, was the captain of this side during their only IPL trophy winning in 2016 edition.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore finished in the last position in the IPL 2019 points table, majorly due to the very weak start. However, they made a great comeback in the late period of that tournament and finished just one point behind from the fourth-positioned team in that points table.

While the Indian captain Virat Kohli is continuing the leadership role of RCB for the IPL 2020, Simon Katich has joined for the Head Coach role by replacing Gary Kirsten.

Last time, SRH and RCB met on 4th May 2019 at Bengaluru, where RCB won by four wickets.

After winning the toss in his SRH captaincy return, Warner said, “We will bowl. There is a bit of dew around. It was an interesting game last night. We know it’s going to get a bit tired towards the end. We have the balance in the side.”

On the other hand, RCB captain Virat Kohli said after losing the toss –

“We have made a few changes, to the setup and the team as well. We feel relaxed and balanced. One idea was to create more leaders in the time. The guys have worked really hard during the lockdown period in whatever way they could. They have taken a lot of responsibility in these three weeks as well. Lot of batting happened in the last three wickets.”
