ToggleIn the 30th match of the IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals (DC) continued their winning streak against Rajasthan Royals (RR) after beating them by 13 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai).
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer chose to bat first after winning the toss. They scored 161/7 (20 overs) at the end of the first innings. Chasing down that target, Rajasthan Royals only managed to score 148/8 (20 overs).

Rajasthan Royals (RR) innings
After the 37 runs partnership for the 1st wicket with the opening partner Ben Stokes in the first three overs, Jos Buttler (22 runs off 9 balls; 3 fours and only six) was bowled by Anrich Nortje. Captain Steven Smith (1) was the next victim as off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed him cheaply through the caught and bowled method.
Then Stokes and Sanju Samson handled the early pressure and set up the 46 runs partnership for the third wicket. After scoring 41 runs off 35 balls (6 fours), Stokes lost his wicket in the 11th over as Tushar Deshpande claimed his first IPL wicket. In the next over, Axar Patel took another crucial wicket as he bowled Samson (25 runs off 18 balls; 2 sixes).
Teenager Riyan Parag, who was one of the heroes for Rajasthan Royals in their victory in the last game against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), was run out for just one run. But Robin Uthappa tried hard for his team. In the 18th over, Nortje took that important wicket as Uthappa was bowled after scoring 32 runs off 27 balls (3 fours and only six).
Among the Delhi Capitals bowlers, IPL debutant Tushar Deshpande (2/37) and Anrich Nortje (2/33) both took two wickets each. Purple Cap holder Kagiso Rabada took one wicket as he finished the game with the bowling figures of 4-0-28-1.

Pacer Jofra Archer provided a great start by dismissing the young opener Prithvi Shaw (0) on the very first ball of the match. In his next over, Archer took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane (2). However, then another opener Shikhar Dhawan and captain Shreyas Iyer handled the situation and controlled that innings.
Both Dhawan and Iyer scored half-centuries in that innings while they set up the crucial 85 runs partnership for the third wicket. Dhawan completed his fifty in 30 balls. After scoring 57 runs off 33 balls (6 fours and 2 sixes), Dhawan lost his wicket int he 12th over as Shreyas Gopal dismissed him.

Captain Shreyas Iyer reached his 50-run mark in 40 balls. But after scoring 53 runs off 43 balls (3 fours and 2 sixes), he was dismissed by Kartik Tyagi in the 16th over. Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey scored 18 and 14 runs respectively before losing their wickets.
Jofra Archer had the bowling figures of 4-0-19-3. Also, Jaydev Unadkat (3/32) picked up two wickets in that innings.
