SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) innings
Chasing down the target, Kane Williamson-less SRH lost their both openers very early. While Jofra Archer continued his this year’s white-ball success against Warner by dismissing him on the fourth ball of that innings, Archer bowled his national teammate Jonny Bairstow (10) in his next over.
However, Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar then controlled the situation with a brilliant century partnership that helped the side to make that chase easier. During the early underpressure moment, Manish Pandey played a quick knock that massively helped them to get out from the difficult situation very quickly. Pandey completed his fifty in 28 balls.
They continued that solid partnership till the team reached the target. They had the partnership of 140 runs for the unbroken third wicket. While Manish Pandey scored 83 not out 47 balls (4 fours and 8 sixes), Vijay Shankar secured the victory with a four that helped to complete 50 runs off 51 balls as he was not out on 52 runs off 51 balls (6 fours).

Rajasthan Royals (RR) innings
After the 30 runs opening partnership, opener Robin Uthappa threw his wicket through a run-out by Jason Holder after scoring 19 runs off 13 balls (2 fours and only six). Another opener Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson then put the 56 runs partnership for the second wicket.
But in the 12th and 13th over, both those set batsmen lost their wickets as Rajasthan Royals lost their strong momentum in that innings. While Samson was bowled by Jason Holder for 36 runs off 26 balls (3 fours and only six), Stokes was bowled by Rashid Khan for 30 runs off 32 balls (2 fours).
While Jos Buttler (9) lost his wicket cheaply, Steven Smith and Riyan Parag tried hard to handle the pressure. In the 19th over, Holder dismissed Smith (19 off 15 balls; 2 fours) and Parag (20 off 12 balls; 2 fours and only six) in two consecutive legal deliveries. Jofra Archer again managed to play a small but crucial cameo at the end of that innings as he remained not out on 16 runs off 7 balls (only four and only six).
Playing his first match of this IPL season, Jason Holder finished that innings with the bowling figures of 4-0-33-3.
