IPL 2020, Match 47: SunRisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals (SRH vs DC) – Highlights
Delhi Capitals (DC) innings
SRH bowlers hardly gave the space to the Delhi Capitals batsmen from the beginning. On the third ball of the innings, Sandeep Sharma dismissed in-form opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan for a golden duck. In the next over, Marcus Stoinis was dismissed by Shahbaz Nadeem for just 5 runs. But another opener Ajinkya Rahane and Shimron Hetmyer handled the powerplay much better way as they scored 54/2 at the end of the 6 overs.
The leg-spinner Rashid Khan was introduced in the seventh over and since then SRH were totally in control in that game. In his first over, Rashid dismissed both the set batsmen as Hetmyer was bowled for 16 runs and Rahane was trapped for lbw after scoring 26 runs. The Afghan spinner was brilliant in that entire second innings as the disciplined leg-spinner finished the match with the incredible bowling figures of 4-0-7-3, including 17 dot balls.

Since the third wicket partnership was broken, where Rahane and Hetmyer set up the 40 runs partnership, only Rishabh Pant and Tushar Deshpande showed some fighting performance with the bat as they were the only other batsmen in that innings to reach the double-digit scores. While Pant was the highest run-scorer in that innings as the left-handed batsman scored 36 runs off 35 balls (3 fours and only six), the no.10 batsman Deshpande scored 20 not out off 9 balls (2 fours and only six).
Apart from Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma (2/27) and Thangarasu Natarajan (2/26) managed to take two wickets each in that evening.
SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) innings
In the absence of Jonny Bairstow, captain David Warner started with the new opening partner Wriddhiman Saha and they provided a solid start that perfectly set the base for their big total. Warner-Saha put the 107 runs partnership for the first wicket inside the 10 overs.
Warner completed his fifty in 25 balls. After scoring 66 runs off 34 balls (8 fours and 2 sixes), Warner lost his wicket as Ravichandran Ashwin finally brought the breakthrough. But SRH were in total control as Saha continued the momentum along with Manish Pandey.
Saha reached the 50 runs mark in 27 balls. Saha and Pandey quickly set up the 63 runs partnership for the second wicket where Saha was furious. In the 15th over, Anrich Nortje took the wicket of Saha, who scored 87 runs off 45 balls (12 fours and 2 sixes).
