While CSK required 30 runs in the final two overs, Lockie Ferguson and Kamlesh Nagarkoti were mostly in control but Ravindra Jadeja finally managed to finish in the best position with his power-hitting abilities and utilising the opportunities. Ferguson delivered a costly over the waist hight no-ball in the 19th over, and Jadeja took that opportunity as he smashed a sixer on the free hit delivery.
In the final over, CSK had to score 10 runs to win that game. Though Nagarkoti conceded only three runs in the first four balls, Jadeja finished the game successfully after hitting two sixes in the final two balls of that over. Jadeja scored crucial match-winning 31 not out off just 11 balls (2 fours and 3 sixes) and Sam Curran was also not out on 13 runs off 14 balls (only four).
Among the KKR bowlers, Cummins (2/31) and Varun (2/20) both picked up two wickets each.
